The Civils Hub

A hands-on civil engineering showroom where professionals can see, handle and properly understand ironwork and geosynthetics before specifying or installing them.

A space built for the civil engineering industry

The Civils Hub is the shared showroom and learning space for Wrekin and Geoworks, created for people working in civil engineering.

It exists for one simple reason: too many site problems start with decisions made without ever seeing the product or understanding how it's installed. The Civils Hub closes that gap.

It's a practical space where products, materials and systems can be explored properly, questions can be asked openly, and real-world experience is shared.

Whether you're new to the industry or highly experienced, the Civils Hub is designed to be useful, honest and worth the visit.

What you'll see when you visit

Experience full-size products, models and interactive experiences. Installed examples and detailed cut-throughs expose how they're made and why they perform.

Materials are there to be handled, lifted, compared and live demonstrated. Product and installation benefits are obvious rather than theoretical.

Geosyntics are displayed in layers and assemblies, showing how they interact with other materials in the ground. You'll be able to see how different products behave, where they add value, and where poor choices can cause long-term issues.

What you'll learn

A visit to the Civils Hub is about learning things that make life easier on site and in
design offices. We focus on the practical side of civil engineering decisions.

Ironwork explained, properly

Wrekin sessions focus on access covers, frames and gratings, and the real-world decisions that sit behind specifying and installing them.

  • How to choose the right access cover for the application, not just the load class
  • What load classes actually mean and where they're often misunderstood
  • The differences between materials and constructions, and why they matter
  • How installation affects performance, noise, movement and lifespan
  • Common causes of failure and premature replacement
  • How poor specification creates long-term maintenance problems
  • How to balance compliance, cost and performance without cutting corners

The aim is to give you confidence that what you specify or install will perform as intended, not just pass on paper.

Who the Civils Hub is for
